There seems to be confirmation from various sources.
It’s stupid. Because of what a dozen terrorists did, a country of 1.4 billion and 250 million people risk getting into a war.

1 yearPakistan is now attacking military targets in India and the rhetoric is growing increasingly hostile. I hope cooler heads prevail but my optimism is fading.

Actually, the attacks targeted multiple terrorist camps. The Markaz Toiba, Muridke camp alone is responsible for 176 deaths, including 26 foreign nationals from 2008. But I agree, war is stupid.

There were studies done, 20, 30, maybe as far back as 40 or 50 years ago that concluced that even a couple hundred nuclear weapons detonated anywhere on earth, in a nuclear war, would doom most life on earth in the fallout and aftermath.
and said study was specifically focusing on India and Pakistan blowing each other up. and how it’d affect everyone else.

So pessimistic. India and Pakistan are going to launch a couple bombs at each other and that’ll be it. All will be well.
Remember: I am guaranteed to be correct on India and Pakistan not escalating to nukes in the event anyone can suitably verify my prediction to be true or false.

that wasnt the point I was trying to make, it was that worrying about China and America, or Russia and NATO fighting shouldnt be peoples only concerns, a totally unrelated tantrum between Indo-Pak is just as deadly to someone in Paris, St Petersburg, or Chicago

Yes, India and Pakistan in 1999. Both sides refrained from using nukes
