    i wish open source developers would pick better names… lemmy, diaspora, mastodon, gimp, linux…
    it’s nearly impossible to talk about this stuff to a non nerd…
    i think half of Bluesky’s success is due to it being much easier to talk about.

      You have a point, but let’s not pretend that Google, Meta, Twitter, X, TikTok or AliExpress are better names. Companies also have really weird names
