I want to see the whole cabinet of Israel charged with war crimes. This isanity of the highest degree. I have no sympathy gor Hamas but this has gone way to far.
- nun@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
Not even a little? I recognise that many of their actions are clearly immoral or inhumane but I’m not self righteous enough to know I wouldn’t do the same if everyone I know was murdered, tortured, raped and starved by Israel.
- Pilferjinx@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
“It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum,” Guterres said at a UN Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas war
- nun@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
Yes, Israel obviously is and always has been the aggressor in this conflict. They are also the much more evil side. Doesn’t mean Hamas is incapable of also committing war crimes
- gaja@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
You could take everything from me and I wouldn’t start carpet bombing children. Fuck Isreal.

Every single israeli prime minister should have been. It always been too far. There is 77 of israeli abuses
- InputZero@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
Is Hamas even still a thing? Like as far as I can tell from my armchair halfway around the world they’re basically all dead. It seems to me like Hamas has been thoroughly defeated. Gaza is a wasteland and at this point I would be surprised if Hamas could muster up any type of action.
- oyo@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
Does it really matter? Israel had the sympathy of the world after Oct. 7 and they threw it all away with their genocidal response. They’ve created infinitely more enemies than they’ve killed, and it doesn’t matter if these enemies are called Hamas. Israel has guaranteed decades more violence be directed their way by whole new generations.
- MochiGoesMeow@lemmy.zipEnglish1 year
May all of Gaza’s innocent victims collect their entire spiritual energy from the beyond and curse the lives of every Israeli soldier who participated in this genocide for all eternity. Including Netanyahu’s direct family.

Given the fact that war crimes are being committed in Gaza, this is neither funny nor edgy. She died a hero and reporter, not just an influencer.
- muusemuuse@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
Then why the fuck refer to her as an influencer? Influencers are just walking brand logos. They are obnoxious and unimportant. What you described sounds like something very different.
- stephen01king@lemmy.zipEnglish1 year
When you judge people using labels and ignore every nuance, you’re the cause of the miscommunication, not the use of a label that has an actual meaning outside of your seemingly very judgemental understanding.

Jesus fucking christ. She died in a genocide you sack of shit.
- Hellsfire29@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
Every country in that region sucks. Especially Iraq through Afghanistan. Let them kill each other off.
The Americans who show support for Palestine would get their heads chopped off if they visited that place. It’s a bit ironic to support a country that hates Americans.
It’s alright, anything to root against the Jews, who were actually involved in a genocide. And fairly recently. 6 million Jews. And people wonder why they’re so defensive against attacks.
The same WW2 vets that fought the actual Nazis are getting booed today. From the few videos I’ve seen, I hope that’s a minority of shitbags.
Hamas isn’t our friend. You can’t ignore Oct 7th, that was shitty in and of itself no matter if Israel provoked it or not. Israel is an ally. Palestine is not.
Fuck the people whose rooting against Israel just because Trump supports them.
I’m not here to start any fights. I’ve been to that region, and they really don’t want any interference from the west. Especially after the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
- IlovePizza@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
“Let them kill each other off” is a cold way to talk about a conflict where one side is a nuclear-armed state backed by the West, and the other is a stateless people under occupation. This isn’t a fair fight—it’s a military superpower bombing refugee camps, hospitals, and UN schools while starving 2 million civilians.
You claim Palestinians would “chop heads off” Americans, but the U.S. has armed Israel for decades while it bulldozes homes, steals land, and locks millions in an open-air prison. If Palestinians hate American policy, can you blame them? Meanwhile, Israel gets billions in U.S. weapons while its politicians call for the “flattening of Gaza.” Who’s really the ally here?
Yes, Hamas is brutal—but they didn’t appear out of nowhere. Decades of occupation, blockade, and apartheid radicalized people. That doesn’t justify Oct. 7, but ignoring the context is dishonest. Collective punishment—starving kids, bombing families—only creates more extremism.
And spare me the Holocaust guilt-tripping. Using Jewish suffering to justify Palestinian suffering is grotesque. Many Holocaust survivors, like those in Jewish Voice for Peace, opposed Zionism. Israel’s government includes far-right ministers who praise settlers burning Palestinian villages—are they “defending Jews” or fueling genocide?
The West props up Israel while pretending to care about “human rights.” If you’ve really been to the region, you’d know: this isn’t about “rooting for Jews or Arabs.” It’s about ending occupation, apartheid, and Western hypocrisy.
- Hellsfire29@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
When I said “let them kill each other off”, it was brutal. I know I went too far with that statement.
But I agree with the occupation, and western hypocrisy. It’s sad to see , and it brings out the worst in humanity. Sometimes I think it’s just better to start over.
I am aware that Israel has been moving against the Palestinian population for a while, and that created a vacuum, similar to Afghanistan and Iraq. Oct 7th attack may have been an offensive maneuver to thwart further Israeli attacks, but all it did was made it worse. Now Netanyahu is going to “exterminate all of the animals”.
Either there needs to be intervention, by the west who usually causes such vacuums, or Israel will succeed. Cause if any other nation wages war on Israel, that’s going to be a problem too.
We all live* on the same planet. Only habitable planet for light years. I’ve seen war and it’s not worth the price.
Sometimes I just think our destruction is inevitable.
- Hellsfire29@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
I don’t support meddling in another country’s plight. Especially a country that hates the west. I don’t support genocide. You don’t even know what’s going on over there.
People dismiss the Oct 7th attacks, no matter how destructive it was, as a non factor because of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories.
If Hamas never attacked and launched over 4,000 rockets into Israel and caused thousands of deaths and casualties, would Israel still treat them as “animals” and starve them out?
And why do you have a sudden affliction for Palestinians? Just because Trump is friends with Netanyahu? Because Israel is really trying to eliminate Palestinians, even before Oct 7th? Because you listen to MSM?
Like I said, none of those countries want interference from the west and they hate Americans. Even before the OEF/OIF wars.
You’re big and strong, perhaps you can volunteer and deploy to that region, and put your money where your dirty mouth is.

The blockade started back in the 90s, so yes, they absolutely would.

I bet you’d exterminate all of the right wingers just because you don’t agree with them. But yet you call Republicans fascist. How ironic.
- Lucky_777@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
It’s almost better to pull a doctor Bashir and just surrender. Let them relocate you and then try to survive. Is that better than just dying for nothing? You might say no because its your homeland, but at least your PEOPLE will survive?
It’s a crazy situation without a good solution. I mean, other than Iseral laying the fuck off.
- yucandu@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
how does an 11 year old surrender? walk up to a border crossing and say “please relocate me” and hope they don’t rifle butt her head?
- Seefoo@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
I know we’re probably in agreement, but this is probably suicide. I think they pretty much shoot anyone near those border crossing/checkpoints that they aren’t pre-notified on.
- Arkouda@lemmy.caEnglish1 year
There are plenty of good solutions with the best one being international intervention. Letting the Likud party get away with genocide is not one of those options like you have implied it to be.
- Lucky_777@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
Right, it’s a world problem, and who has stepped up? Who will the world abandoned next?
- Gabadabs@lemmy.blahaj.zoneEnglish1 year
Israel doesn’t want to relocate Palestinians, they want to kill them, while actively preventing them from relocating.
- nun@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
They’re not dying for nothing. The state of Israel in its current form will not survive this war.
- prole@lemmy.blahaj.zoneEnglish1 year
current form
Right, because they’ll have a new form that includes the West Bank and a chunk of Syria.
- nun@lemm.eeEnglish1 year
Israel considers the Syrian Golan heights and large chunks of the Palestinian West Bank including Jerusalem as parts of Israel. They effectively occupy and control the entire area of Palestine.
- prole@lemmy.blahaj.zoneEnglish1 year
Of course Israel considers them part of Israel. That’s their alleged casus belli.
demonsword@lemmy.worldEnglish
1 yearYou’d say the same to ucranians? Or you think only brown palestinian people don’t deserve to have their homeland?
- Lucky_777@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
The question is getting wiped off the planet or relocated. Of course they have a right to their homeland. But obviously a force is about to kill them all. So do they live or die off completely? What would you choose?
- Lucky_777@lemmy.worldEnglish1 year
Remember when he was working with the other genetically enhanced humans? They decided that surrendering would be the greatest course of action because it saved the most lives.
Federation rejected it, of course, but in the end…wormhole “gods” saved everyone. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Statistical_Probabilities_(episode)

I think the “11 year old killed” part is the one that should make you feel bad.
The influencer part is pretty irrelevant to the overall issue here, even if it might be relevant to other aspects of the story.

If she had been a reporter instead, would you feel this way? And what would she have had to have done so you considered her a journalist rather than some death-worthy influencer? If she had “official credentials” would then it have been upsetting?
Some of these posts feel like bots or rage bait. No one is that stupid.
