Same kind of ridiculous nationalism and racism trump advocates for and tries to enforce through law. My dad, whose heritage hasnt lived in india in multiple generations, and has little connection to the religion or language, still supports that kind of bullshit and would rather people die so his religion and language come out on top. Like when india interferes with power and internet in Kashmir and hospitals are desperately trying to keep patients alive, that is a worthy sacrifice to him

I wonder if this includes the promise of or absorption into political or military positions in exchange for disarmament / dissolution, especially if president Aoun wants to avoid conflict or civil war with a group that doesn’t want to cede power
