    Good idea.

    While we’re in a returning things mood, France needs to pay back the “reparations” it made Haiti pay to France for no longer being French slaves. Several trillion in today’s currency.

    Truthfully? They’re not wrong to want it back.

    There’s (for now) a plaque at the base with a poem stating “give us your tired, give us your poor”. Clearly not the attitude our government and a large portion of our population has, right now.

    I can only hope we’ll remember how immigration built this country before they simply remove the plaque.
