Remember when he said, “24 hours after he’d be president, he’d have peace?”
That’s part of a desensitization strategy where trumpy makes outlandish claims nobody takes seriously so if he manages to deliver on a single one out of hundreds of such, he’s celebrated as a visionary. So republicans are measured by their successes and Democrats are measured by their failures, no matter how low those rates may be for each.

Trump, not America, but Donald J Trump gets the entire of post-Soviet Ukraine, including 10th century Kievan Rus lands, on the condition that he settles those lands for 100 years. This is non-negotiable.

A more realistic counter-proposal: Ukraine will negotiate a trade deal with China, because China is not under Putin’s influence - on the contrary, Putin is heavily dependent on China and under their influence. At this point, they can tell him to stop. He’s very low on reserves.

I think the “dying soon” bit was Zelensky trying to make him more paranoid. Putin seems to already be fairly paranoid and Zelensky giving predictions about his death will probably have effect on his peace of mind and diet. :)

I don’t think people have caught onto the fact that you should never give into Trump’s demands… full stop.
The assumption that what you give to him is transactional and will make him stop doesn’t apply.
Giving in just shows you perceive your position as weak and he will ask for more or destroy you later.
Look at all the Broadcast networks that settled lawsuits and paid him off, look at Columbia university giving into his demands around student protests.
The list goes on and on with the same result you give in and he will ask for more or still seek to destroy you later. Giving in just makes him stronger.
