But unlike Berlin (or rather Germany as a whole as it was divided, too, but berlin itself was divided despite being in the soviet zone) was the aggressor, started the war and was conquered at the end.

If anything wasto be split into zones “like Berlin/Germany” you’d have to conquer Russia first.

Fun fact: in Germany, we have a word for this type of BS, geschichtsvergessen, meaning the thing said is forgetting how history actually happened. But probably it’s on purpose, so it’s actually revisionist instead of forgetting (revisionist in the sense that Kellog wants to insinuate Ukraine as the aggressor).

… and I suggest to put this lunatic into that kind of zone where lunatics get their proper treatment.

A more accurate comparison would be Korea since they also weren’t the aggressor. Still not a good comparison though.

And actually to split it, you would have to admin that someone besides Russia wants a part.

More like Korea, Germany was fully overturned in order to be split like that

But we are talking Trump envoy, so the bar is pretty low anyway

Yes, but will Trump and Putin chill at a pool and - most importantly - will there be a golden statue of Trump and bearded scantily clothed dancers?

Jokes aside - this is coming from bonkers people who think authority and stubbornness are enough to get things done, which may to a point apply in internal affairs (where there’s an established body of laws that gives the president that authority), but will not work in geopolitics.

Also, making sure you know the least bit about what you are talking about before opening your mouth and letting your ugly thoughts out wouldn’t harm: comparing nowadays Ukraine to WWII Berlin just shows you don’t know anything about (at least one of) the two.

                1. This is an English-language community. Comments should be in English. Posts can link to non-English news sources when providing a full-text translation in the post description. Automated translations are fine, as long as they don’t overly distort the content.
                2. No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.
                3. Be kind to each other, and argue in good faith. Don’t post direct insults nor disrespectful and condescending comments. Don’t troll nor incite hatred. Don’t look for novel argumentation strategies at Wikipedia’s List of fallacies.
                4. No bigotry, sexism, racism, antisemitism, islamophobia, dehumanization of minorities, or glorification of National Socialism. We follow German law; don’t question the statehood of Israel.
                5. Be the signal, not the noise: Strive to post insightful comments. Add “/s” when you’re being sarcastic (and don’t use it to break rule no. 3).
                6. If you link to paywalled information, please provide also a link to a freely available archived version. Alternatively, try to find a different source.
                7. Light-hearted content, memes, and posts about your European everyday belong in other communities.

                9. No posts linking to speculative reporting about ongoing events with unclear backgrounds. Please wait at least 12 hours. (E.g., do not post breathless reporting on an ongoing terror attack.)
                10. Always provide context with posts: Don’t post uncontextualized images or videos, and don’t start discussions without giving some context first.
