The Guardian only talks about Warhol, but there was a total of 46 art works lost. They weren’t all made by him.
Ah, yeah that’s a real loss. And nuts that happened. One picture I can see, but 46?

They were stored under improper conditions in the basement of the town hall as renovations were going on. Later, they had damage from water, were covered with mold and dust and subsequently were thrown away. In total, they supposedly had a value of about 22000 €, so nothing spectacular.
