The original report in “Die Welt” is endlessly redundant, contradicts itself several times, and doesn’t cite a single source. “Die Welt” then even says a the end of its article that the government denies the reports that “Die Welt” is reporting on. Which reports these are or were, according to which a state of emergency should be declared, is not mentioned.
This is a non-issue reported by the Springer media outlet Die Welt and spread further by Euronews, an outlet owned by allies of Viktor Orban. (I mention this here because I feel this is important as many of these clickbait headlines come from always the same outlets.)

Yep. This is the guy that owns Springer in a nutshell:
Economically, Döpfner professes support for globalization, and in foreign policy for the “free west, fuck the intolerant Muslims and all the other riffraff.” On security policy, he considers himself a hawk. “Environmental policy – I am very much in favor of climate change. Civilization phases of warmth have always been more successful than those of cold. We should not fight climate change, but adapt to it.” If there is one thing he hates, it’s wind turbines. On the topic of migration, he advocates for clear criteria and is “rather strict,” stating that whoever “opens the doors will reap racism.” On religious matters, he pleads for tolerance toward believers, but is “intolerant when they become intolerant.” Finally, he makes a declaration: “And of course: Zionism above all. Israel my country.”

I am wondering whether this is part of some disinformation campaign. There is no verifiable content for the alleged state of emergency, it literally comes out of thin air.

Yeah - we know that the billionaire owner of Springer is giving his “journalists” directions which political party they should push or bash. Everything they do is a campaign
No need to wonder. Axel Springer SE is nothing but a source for desinformation and agenda pushing (mainly right-wing, pro-US and pro-fossil-fuel actors, including their main shareholder KKR).
So, “Die Welt” sucks. Maybe it used to be a newspaper as serious as the title suggests, but now it’s just for idiots who think they’re above BILD.
There is, however invented, a bit of truth in the article:
There is a cookie jar called Trumpism. And some (European) politians simply cannot resist sticking their fingers in it.
Für mich war’s damals Die Zeit - hat mir mein erzkonservativer Vater ein Abo geschenkt in einem seltenen Anflug von politischer Toleranz.
