The foundation of Israel is rooted in ethnic cleansing.

Genocide. The Clinton admin invented the term “ethnic cleansing” to justify the US government disobeying their own laws requiring intervention against genocide (at that point, in Rwanda).

Let’s call it what it is.

You know when all those nutjobs kept saying that Israel-Gaza was a fight of civilisation against barberism. Maybe they were right but had the actors the wrong way around?

Some of worlds oldest Christian churches were in Gaza and it’s not Muslims destroying them.

Not us Americans… We feel bad obviously that 95% of our elected politicians support the genocide and all the bribes they take from the Zionist Lobby. We feel terrible there is no other choice but to keep voting for them. It wasn’t our fault when legislatures in 38 states pass laws giving Israel special privileges. Surely being called antisemitic has got to be worst thing you can call someone… The African and Native Americans, who cares what they say about us or we say about them. The Iraqis and Afghanis, who cares. How dare anyone criticize our beloved Israel though!

By not voting either Republican or Democrat or anyone sold to AIPAC. Let us rot if needed. When fund is out for us, we won’t have money to support the genocide. May be people will realize that we are giving handouts to Israel.

Germany’s foreign ministry said on Saturday it is “deeply concerned” about the situation in Gaza, and that the offensive “could put the lives of the remaining hostages, including those of German hostages, in danger”.

Saw another post about an arrest of a pro-P Feddit mod, and generally about DE siding with Israel to bizzarre/dystopic lengths. Didn’t know they had hostages in the mix as well. Could that be a reason? Relying on Israel force to get them freed? Hm. *format edit

German government moved from openly supporting the massacare of Palestinian civilians to doing it behind closed doors.

Their words hold no importance. Look at their actions only. Germany supplies 30% of the weapons for the genocide.

Position of the Spanish Public TV and Gov

Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE defied Eurovision rules by airing pro-Palestinian messages during the 2025 contest, despite warnings of sanctions from organizers[1][2].

Before the May 17 finale in Basel, RTVE displayed text stating “When human rights are at stake, silence is not an option. Peace and justice for Palestine”[1:1]. Their commentators Julia Varela and Tony Aguilar also cited Gaza casualty figures during broadcasts, prompting the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to threaten financial penalties[2:1].

The controversy escalated when Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called for Israel’s exclusion from Eurovision, claiming “double standards” compared to Russia’s 2022 ban[3]. RTVE is now requesting an audit of Spain’s public vote after Israel received maximum points, questioning the validity of the voting system[4].

The Spanish broadcaster had previously requested formal EBU discussions about Israel’s participation in April 2025, citing “concerns raised by various civil society groups in Spain regarding the situation in Gaza”[5]. The EBU maintained that all members remain eligible to compete while acknowledging “deeply held views around the current conflict”[5:1].

Who cares? The really important thing is they are kicking ass in Eurovision. Outside of nuclear annihilation, can the world get any more fracked up? I know, yes, it probably can, and probably will.

The second is that Israel would never agree to give up any of the West Bank, the third is that Egypt would not agree to take the Palestinians(they’ve been asked before, including by Biden.)

Israel would give up the West Bank for much more land in the Sinai.

                                                                                                No they wouldn’t

Israel would have the potential to become a much more populous and powerful country.

They already have ten percent of their population in West Bank. They’re not giving it up.

Egypt would not be taking in Palestinians. Egypt would simply own the land they are in.

                                                                                                That’s Egypt taking Palestinians.

Egypt could give them the land.

Yeah, but they won’t. And Israel wouldn’t recognize it anyway

And it’s all still ethnic cleansing.

                                                                                          • Do family estates get prorated for sentimental and historical value?

                                                                                          • Does Israel get to keep the value of settlements that it already holds either “legally” (per Israeli law) or illegally?
                                                                                          • Why would Israeli settlers in illegal settlements vacate, and (perhaps more to the point) why would the Israeli state stop backing them when they decided not to leave?
                                                                                          • Why would Egypt give up control of an excellent defensive border region to a hostile neighbor for a noncontiguous state that would likely be re-occupied by said state before the treaty ink is dry?
