11 monthsIt’s quite crazy when you think about it. Many of us use Gmail or Outlook for personal and professional communication, but imagine if the U.S. government, under Trump, decided to shut down the email accounts of Macron or any other European leader simply because they disagreed with something. I believe this could significantly speed up the shift away from big tech companies in Europe and potentially around the globe.

Germany’s Military is now 10 years bound to Google cloud and some of our government administrations has ditched Linux and are going back to Microsoft 🤷♂️ Fails everywhere in a time, where we should go full open source and be independent to US

I guess pressure from corporations and their governments is the culprit. Also local politicians mostly don’t know a shit about IT.

A more realistic fear would be the US forcing major social media to pull the plug on someone.

11 monthsthe infra behind is the same. aws , google, microsoft many organisation are moving or have moved to the cloud. yes some still have on premises infra or country provider but this is moving.
