I’m so thrilled for a new steam controller. I was a huge fan of the original, I just wish it were built Better. I hope the new one is built well, I’m planning to purchase one as I think it will be a good controller for my flight sims
Don’t DM me without permission please

Agreed, I’m not sure the Deck has the performance necessary to make it work well.
I got it running on my chrultrabook but its NOT fast (installing o365 took 6 hours for example). You’d be pretty period limited to only games prior to around 2014 based on memory limitations.
Personally? I’m a nutter, so I’d have at it just for shits and giggles to see if it’d work then immediately proceed to abuse my newfound power.

This should work, but I’ll be honest, Setup is a doozey
I’ve just spent the last three days setting it up to use Office365 on my laptop for school

I had to convert from Common to Freedom for this one. Are y’all ok over there? I’m used to that kind of heat here in the desert but goodness I couldn’t imagine 115f near the coast y’all must be dying 😬

That’s simply not true.
You CAN talk about Isreal, you can talk about Zionism, you can talk about genocide. There are however rules and nuance to what you can and cannot talk about such that the instance may maintain complaince with DACH region laws.

You can’t use the webapp?
I always just use the browser app and I don’t think I’ve given them my phone number… I should check that actually

From my personal experience:
The steam variant of Retroarch is nerfed to hell and back, make your life easier and use the flatpak version and add it as a nonsteam game.
Edit: sp

Obviously only electric cars have transmitters in them. Gas cars get their system updates from a pump 🙄

Are you referring to the issue where Gamescope causes massive lag on nvidia GPUs?

Minecraft bedrock is only accessible on Linux through waydroid or other android emulators.
There’s a few other games in the mobile markets that are decent, I’m sure.

My Linux PC is a media server/htpc with access to all codecs. I regularly transcode H.265 via nvenc for jellyfin.
You must ensure you’re using a client that can use the codec in question, regarding proprietary codecies like H.265 you will need either a desktop client that can handle it, or verify you have your browser properly configured.
Is there a specific codec you’re concerned about losing access to?
The arch wiki page here lists all the common video codecs as well as packages to install them, assuming you’re on an unlocked steam deck these packages will work, otherwise you’ll need to source them yourself.
I certainly hope so, the index was a promising piece of kit, never got the deck because I shouldn’t have access to my escapism simulators on mobile.
