This book is a thriller written around 1965. About two thirds through the book a character shows up. He’s was born rich and he’s a spoiled idiot with questionable habits. Turns out he’s a Russian asset who is happy to help destroy the system that gave him everything.
Of course, this is a work of fiction and shouldn’t be treated as anything else.

There’s an old cartoon that sums up Trump in my mind. Man is being lead to the gallows. Dozens of cops are holding back the crowd that wants to tear him apart. “Oh, all right. I’ll apologize.”
No matter what happens to him, he’ll never admit that he did anything wrong.
Everyone thinks that the kompromat Putin has is something like Trump getting fisted or a golden shower party.
I like to think it’s Trump weeping about how his daddy never loved him, or something else that no one but a psychopath would be ashamed of.
Trump was correct. He was stabbed in the back by the ‘woke’ Deep State and the media. Biden and Harris destroyed America rather than let Trump lead us to greatness.

One thing you hear all the time from older folks. When they were young everyone in the area knew every kid. The people in the neighborhood would chat. These days, that’s rare. Kids grow up without the idea of having a social network in the real world.
