So, instead of being instantaneous, it takes two seconds? Or five? That’s no good excuse.

I can play for three hours in Fallout 4, forgetting to save the entire time, then remembering to hit F5, and it takes literally two seconds to save. It’s just a database text file sitting in RAM that needs to be written to the drive. And, most people are playing off SSDs, so even a huge text file with hundreds of thousands of entries would write in a second.

No, this isn’t about physical limitations of the hardware, or how much time it takes.

Sounds like a cheap way to actually run a one person business. I know that this has been a thing forever–renting a single office in an office building that provides a front desk with a greeter, and secretarial services as part of the deal, but I suspect this option is even cheaper.

I’m not excusing the behavior, nor do I do this. I am saying it’s not nearly as ubiquitous as the author tries to make it seem. She’s biased because it happened to her, and of course she would be. But, don’t look at her claims as some sort of careful study.

It’s not all men, it’s not anywhere close to a majority. “There are forums with millions of members on mainstream sites…” still doesn’t constitute a huge percentage of men. And, I’m sure only a small percentage of those are sharing original pictures. She has way overstated the problem.
