I used to smoke and I would stamp it out, although I have never lived in a dry region. I have heard from several places that it is very, very easy to start a fire. A ember can travel hundreds of metres, a single spark could well ignite dry grass. The recent Cali wildfires had such embers taken with the wind, which was a cause of the rapid spread in the Palisades iirc.

Reading about this stuff on the Israeli lead news network KAN is… Interesting. When the complete eradication of Gazans is being talked about it’s very blasé and never takes responsibility. For example, this report says Hamas are in fact the ones screwing up Gaza aid efforts, and this one richly claims that the IDF did not kill anyone at an aid site. The IDF alleges that they investigated themselves and found that they weren’t guilty.

The irony is this violence is not from you. It spawned from Israel’s own actions. And when will they learn that their actions have consequences
