Probably means that there will be a a ‘big beautiful peace plan that is going perfectly and going to make Ukraine great again’ plastered all over the media to deny reality.

Sounds like the kind of thing that happens when you have people in charge knowing there is more than tariffs in the policy tool box.

Sure, just let me pick up a whole production plant and import a few thousand workers already trained on my processes. Should be able to get that done by this weekend.

Edit: my guess is whenever he makes some big sweeping gesture it’s because his other hand is pilfering out collective pockets somehow.

What’s he trying to distract people from? We know perfectly well these won’t actually happen.

They’ll be reverted as soon as he gets some flattery and palm greasing from the right people.

So now he thinks he can make demands extraterritoriality, awesome. I don’t suppose he would make demands like ‘stop invading and murdering you neighbor countries and their people’ now would he? Nah, let’s drop sanctions from Russia and who is this Israel place that he was meant to stop from doing bad things, I haven’t heard much on them of late…

Built up tolerance, just keep an eye on the rest of the monkeys in the admin though for any strange or inexplicable behavior.

I hear Pete Hegseth started a drinking game based around every time Trump says the word tariff.

Yet it somehow doesn’t strike him as off at all that long standing allies suddenly feel a need to band against us. It’s a mystery I say, maybe they just woke up and had a bad morning…

Not that I have any faith in the R congress to have a spine, but I’m not seeing how he even could do so if he wanted to without consent of Congress. Pretty well all the direct actions taken in the last couple decades come from the AUMF but that’s at least theoretically supposed to be linked to terrorist activities.

Just the other day he was directing people to draft up how to remove all sanctions on Russia.

Maybe we could find a way to implement a 1 week lag on anything he demands, if it’s countermanded in that time then the week starts over again. Kind of like a retractable leash on caption chaos.

I’m well aware of how much they’ve been targeted (though according to plenty of the hex/grad/ml folks they’re completely unaffected and thriving), I was making a comment regarding how Trump has been trying to target ‘countries who mean us harm’ like Canada and Mexico while he apparently thinks Russia is no problem.

And funny enough no tariffs proposed for Russia when everyone else gets some…
