I always see this stereotype but it must be a regional/American thing. In my part of Canada at least that stereotype would apply to Dodge, more specifically Dodge Journeys.

No one actually “runs for Prime Minister”. The Prime Minister is simply the leader of the governing party. That is determined by the number of seats each party wins. The PM is almost always an elected MP, but as demonstrated for the past few weeks they don’t have to be.

The American government has already shown they’re happy to round up people who look like "foreign enemies"whether they are or not. If your enemy has almost the exact same demographics, all of a sudden there’s probable cause to detain anyone (I know, it’s not like they care about any due process but everything else feels like we’re in make believe land anyways).

The sad thing is on this current trajectory there will be a day when it actually looks like a hopeful, optimistic view of the future.

Growth is doing a lot of work in that sentence. I’m not debating the actual numbers of each of these countries, but if 50% of your population is obese it’s practically impossible to double while if it’s 10% doubling isn’t that crazy.

I wish more people would understand this perspective. Americans might be picking a fight with the whole world, but the rest of the world only has to worry about 1 country picking a fight with them.

As a resident of the Canadian portion of Cascadia I’d be in favour of a European style union of your former states and Canada. Unfortunately you’re too big and too American (for lack of a better term) heavily armed [found it] to just let you in. Depends on if you’re talking an American negative response or a Canadian negative response. I don’t imagine you’d be getting flipped off or have stuff thrown at you but you may not have people stop to let you back out of a parking spot or let you out of a driveway in busy traffic.

Maybe they’re factoring in all the job losses, if someone can’t afford to buy food at all they won’t be paying any tariffs.

Is there any other country that has isolated themselves from as many possible allies in recent history? North Korea is at the very least tolerated by China and Russia, who does the US still have positive relations with? Maybe Israel?
