The Steam Deck was a real home run for them. I guess we will see for sure when the new lineup but it sure seems like they’ve could become a competitive hardware company and I’d love to see what else is up their sleeve.

My long time wish has been for a truly open Linux based iPhone competitor. Maybe too far outside their wheelhouse still but can you imagine a Steam Phone?

It would be really cool if they could expand on the sleep/wake save state to work if you leave the game completely too. Maybe a lot more work than I am imagining.

I really don’t know how to fight the obvious propaganda. It seems like it would help if we had a news media that could and would call it like it is but we’ll never see headlines like “Netanyahu uses blatantly hollow rhetoric to try to justify a genocidal war he started in a desperate attempt to stay in power”.

I saw one where a lady jumped a guard rail and nearly stumbled and fell into the boiling hot spring she was trying to touch. Because I guess the steam and radiant heat wasn’t enough to tell her it was really fucking hot?

It sort of makes sense - in many ways the EU is more like the USA than any one individual European country is. American states have a similar variety of laws, and are quite culturally variable too (certainly much more homogenous than European cultures though).

It seems like such an easy call - give anyone who might bring unnecessary political pressure a ‘time out’. Could keep it entirely neutral like that if they wish to appear above the fray.

Would be better than what they did as allowing Israel this year can easily be seen as a very political endorsement.

I would think the very people who watch and participate are exactly the ones who would oppose Israel. It’s a very woke broadcast.

This needs to be said over and over - Russia is and has been at war with NATO for over a decade and NATO doesn’t seem to even realize it.

I’d argue they’re doing much better in Europe - case in point, Germany just declared their far right as extremists. And the parliamentary system is harder to hack like Trumpism did.

That being said - the honest parties do need to realize people are tending to the far right for real reasons that need to be addressed.
