Apple gets away with it by having an ungodly massive memory bus.
It’s kind of impressive how effective Apple’s marketing team was towards developers when they started that push towards ARM PCs. A lot of people can remember that having shared memory benefits from not having to copy memory between the CPU and GPU, but barely any of them remember that the only reason it’s feasible is because Apple gave their devices insanely high memory bandwidth.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, look no further than the original Nintendo Switch. With an incredible 64-bit memory bus and 1600MHz memory clock speed, it was already being bottlenecked by its memory bandwidth 2 years into its lifespan. And that’s counting first/second-party titles like the Link’s Awakening remaster, not even shitty ports of games made for other consoles.

Yes. Only in fantasy land. As Logi above said, nuclear detonation is an extremely precise, controlled process that has very specific conditions to achieve successfully. Even an actual fission bomb only manages to consume a fraction of the radioactive material.
The only thing someone would achieve by denotating a conventional explosive near a reactor or nuclear stockpile is spreading highly radioactive dust around. That does not nor will ever look like uncontrolled nuclear fission, let alone a detonation from a thermonuclear warhead.

With conservatives, every accusation is a confession.

Between EmuDeck and RetroDECK and having used both, I 100% prefer RetroDECK these days. It’s a single Flatpak install, it Just Works™ out of the box, and it doesn’t clutter my system with random crap sprawled everywhere. I also appreciate that it has a Steam Input template providing a way to do basically everything emulator-related that I could’ve ever wanted.
Major props to the team behind RetroDECK and the excellent work they’re doing. The future is looking bright, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

I think it would depend on whether Canada’s new government is willing to play ball. If they’re not willing to kiss Trump’s ass and give America the preferential treatment that he’s trying to extort from the country, there’s going to be more than just a one-off passing comment about it. Probably a woe-is-me “Canada is taking advantage of us” campaign, I reckon.

Of course, most Americans don’t realize it’s an intensely offensive thing. That’s a major part of the problem.
“America is the greatest nation on earth, why wouldn’t another country want to be part of it?”
That’s what happens when a population is spoon-fed “patriotism” from birth. All the nationalism and propaganda is doing its job promoting American exceptionalism while diminishing empathy and critical thinking.

Does it also involve tattooing a registration number on your arm? It’s certainly going in that direction.

You’re not thinking enough like a capitalist.
The product is transformed enough to originate in some other country, but it costs about 15% of its unit price to go through that whole process. The tariffs would make it cost 145% more, so you raise the prices by 40% to get a nice increase to your profit margins using “increased manufacturing costs” as the justification. Consumers pay the price because all the other options are either still made in China or doing the exact same thing and increasing their profits just like you are.
It’s a win/win situation for you and your investors! /s but it will happen anyways

otherwise, I’m out of the question.
You say that like there will be a choice to opt out. If the US goes to WW3, the draft and mandatory service are coming back with it.

They also paid for a study on how digital piracy affects profits and then buried it when the result showed that it didn’t have a negative impact.
The EU cares about the EU and its wealth, not its citizens. It’s still a big step up over the land of the free-to-sell-its-citizens-wellbeing-to-the-corporations, though.

I get that, but I also really don’t think it’s a good idea to underestimate the importance of having a leader who strongly pushes back against Trump.
America is going downhill fast, and the current administration is highly imperial, expansionist, and corrupt. The “51st state” shit isn’t a joke. The government here said “if” they were to take Canada, it would be by economic force instead of military force, and then proceeded to leverage tariffs to create economic pressure on the rest of the continent. They undermine and belittle the Canadian government at almost every opportunity while riling up the conservatives down here by claiming yall are taking advantage of us and being welfare queens who are completely reliant on our handouts and protection. It’s an obvious attempt to tire people out and destroy national sympathy for you guys.
Trust me, whatever shit you have going on there right now, it’s still a lot better than what’s happening down here. And as bad as we have it, you would get it even worse as a country compromising itself to appease America. By all means, vote for whoever you want, but at least wait until after the US has played its hand and made its intentions to extract wealth and resources from Canadians undeniably clear. Voting in an American-friendly candidate right now is a guarantee to have American corporations come in and destroy your country like they did ours.

From my understanding, you have three viable parties. I understand saying “fuck the neoliberals,” but then why not pick the third party that isn’t endorsed by the insane fascist down here?
I forget which chucklefuck said it, but our administration said your conservative party leader’s values align with Trump’s, and Trump is threatening your entire country’s sovereignty on a near daily basis. If the expansionist “deal maker” who likes to demand mineral rights in exchange for empty promises likes him, I would expect that to be a very good indicator of someone willing to bend the knee and kiss the ring.

I read this entire thread and you sound almost like a MAGA from down here. Are you sure you didn’t take a wrong turn on the way to r/conservative?
My bingo card:
Being against providing a safe space for drug addicts is a new one, though. If they’re going to shoot up regardless, isn’t it better that their biohazardous needles are disposed of safely and not in a park?

I absolutely believe at least half of them are just deplorable humans.
YouTube is a cesspool on a good day. If you know where to look (such as “anti-woke” “content” creators’ videos), you can easily find an overwhelming number of shitheads in the comments cheering for overt bigotry or violence against others. A recent news topic and barely-moderated videos of a non-white woman getting disappeared? They’re coming out of the woodwork for that, guaranteed.

Hypothetical Canadian Trump supporters:
CANADA DOESNT NEED A SMALL pp
CANADA NEEDS A BIG DONg

Knowing the current administration, it will end up just like abortion tourism… but instead of only being persecuted in red states, it will be federally outlawed.

It works about the same as any other non-NixOS system running a user install of Nix.
nix-env -i neovimYou could also choose to enable and use more advanced features like flakes, but I would suggest not doing that unless you want to dive into the Nix ecosystem.
