I beg to differ, I found the first one to play weirdly well on it. Didn’t play the second. I often used it as an example of what the deck can do, since it was smooth.
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

Ooooh, I did get it working on deck before but yeah, looked kinda janky. That’s exciting news, although I’m still 50-50 on wanting to play with controller controls.

Wish I had an answer but I have to track on my main Windows PC using Launchbox since they don’t have Linux support (it’s built on .net, making that very hard). Someone got it working with Wine supposedly, but meh. At least steam is automatic so Deck progress is logged.
It’s frustrating since they just released a bunch of useful tracking tools too.

Upside, usually the controllers are extremely easy to fix. I’m not sure if they give free replacement pads still, but they used to if you asked support.
I’ve had other problems than shoulders on my pros, and never with the ultimate one I got, those seem to have a pretty solid build.

Mike Lee is a notoriously despicable person even by GOP standards and the bill doesn’t have any legs. Like, just a week ago he said terrible things about the Minnasotan politicians who were shot dead in their homes, and he’s also the one who was pushing to sell off public lands (which he was bullied out of; also seems to be in the pocket of the Mormon cult).
The US stance on NATO is complicated under the current US regime but I doubt it’ll be by this assholes bill.

That was my thought, having followed the social media coverage of recent unrest in Iran over hair covering and so on. Iran does need regime change, but Israel is definitely not the right people to do it. No idea the solution, but I hope people can find a way to stay safe.

That sounds like a fun time. In modern day though I’d hope the selected representatives would have professional aides, especially where I am given your average American is practically illiterate. (It’d probably work better in Japan, lol.)

Can China demand regime change? Please?

I heard about this from my wife (who is Japanese), and it’s mostly a bad harvest along with few secondary reasons. If you’re like me and thought it’s the USs fault, it probably isn’t helping with trade but Japan can still very much import rice from the US. Korea just makes more sense right now, probably.
In fact, ironically, tarrifs might actually help-- less US demand for Japanese rice means very slight increase in domestic supply. But it’s likely not a lot.

They won’t. But I wish they would, as far as I’ve seen from my local LA government, they’re also really poorly prepared. The plan, for instance, is to hold events across several major LA venues (and not build any new ones) but since our public transit is complete trash, it’s going to be a logistics nightmare.
Basically us locals are going to straght up have to go full quarantine mode since the traffic is going to be so bad. And it’s a shame, last time I heard at LAEDCs forecast, they really need the revenue.

Well that’s one way to balance the budget, no more credit. We’re fuuuuuucked.

I wonder if this and others will force US rebuilding efforts to include governmental reform if and when Trump is out. No amount of Obamas can reassure people the US isn’t just going to flip out the left time it changes hands again.

Kinda like how self driving cars are still safer than the average driver, ya. Do they make mistakes? For sure, although the bigger annoyance is just how slow they are to turn sometimes. AI would be so so at leading but man is the bar low with Americans.

That’s what you get when everyone has a sauna.
And yes, many homes have it and one thing my Finnish friend does is sauna up and then jump in the snow. That’ll wake you up.
That was my thought, too, but yeah. Occam’s Razor, our government is just run by really stupid people.

To add a note, they’re famously private people, hence living out there in the first place. It’s not that unusual to go unnoticed when you live on a gated compound and don’t like socializing with your neighbors. From what I could tell they didn’t even know who those two were.

It’s too bad they can’t just do 50% on MAGA households and non voters. Somewhere in NY there is someone who actively campaigned to prevent this and continues to protest and they’re getting a 25% price hike anyway.
At least we can target businesses and billionaires more directly, although unlike the average voter they need a lot, lot more pain before they change.

Fairly neutral way of looking at it, and that’s a nice thing to consider although I’m not sure if the U.S. is executing that correctly if you’re correct. After all, making security guarantees is an even easier way to end the war, including appeasing Russia by at least allowing them to continue their occupation.
Hawks also have the possibility that Ukraine makes headway in the war itself, which was the hope of the Biden administration providing support in the first place since US-Russia relations aren’t as valuable to most people as US-EU+others, even if China allies with Russia (which could still happen, as Russia hasn’t proven to be trustworthy in the past, anyway).
In other words, hawks probably have it right that U.S. is better off with it’s current allies, but if we give Trump the benefit it the doubt (a literal devil’s advocate) then at least there’s some rational, even if misguided. Plus, there is the truth that Ukraine is having difficulty taking back, although you could certainly say the US and EU haven’t given them enough to push forward out if fear of nuclear retaliation.
The whole situation sucks, though, rationale or not.

Oh, I’m in LA and you should definitely come; just wait until after our civil war or coup or whatever it is that happens to get things to settle down. It’s a lovely city if you know where to go.
Also if it’s any consolation, we’ve practically got ICE protests almost every day. People here are fucking livid over this shit, particularly the Latino parts of town. (Although in typical LA fashion, part of the protesting is because of a TikTok trend).
Great suggestions in the comments, especially in regards to great sub-10 dollar indies and the use of Isthereanydeal, but I’d also like to throw in a recommendation to not forget about Desktop mode.
If your budget is tight, the deck basically offers a portable PC, including emulated games up to GameCube era and other free non-steam things. Things like emudeck and heroic game launcher can also add shortcuts to steam mode, although I didn’t really use the latter since I didn’t use Epic or GoG.
