How does a general purpose distro like Bazzite compare to Windows/Steam OS on the Legion?

3·1 year agoAs an Emudeck user I really wanted to give RetroDECK an honest whirl, but upon finding they depreciated Ryujinx despite there being a repo that continues with updates… Killed it for me.
Meanwhile EmuDECK supports configs for both Ryujinx & Citron.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Deck Prototype being sold on ebay
6·1 year agoTBH the front looks fine to me, though there’s a strong likelihood of accidentally touching the touchpads while using the thumb sticks.
What I’m glad they fixed up are the back/grip buttons, as this prototype is “push” only, where as I almost exclusively use them as “squeeze”. These are missing the L-shape where the button is built in to not just the back plate, but also the inside of the hand grip.

1·1 year agoFor those that use Retro Deck and it’s prepacked emulator approach… What happens when an emulator is killed (a la Yuzu)? Do you lose access to that emulator in Retro Deck (i.e. is it removed with the next Retro Deck update?)
EmuDeck’s approach allows for emulators that are installed to persist after their death - they just removed the ability to select them for download going forward.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Name your most played and most surpring game you played on Steam Deck 2024
2·1 year agoPlayed a lot of kids friendly games this last year (getting my daughter in to games) so many were surprising to me.
But of the games, she kept coming back to Alba’s Adventure - so that one racked up the play time.
My personal game that racked up the most time was Legend of Zelda, Echoes of Wisdom. After that, Judero.

5·1 year agoI had one of these that also had fold out stereo speakers. Biggest gimmick, but I loved it

This is occurring for me with the LCD model, and I have turned off each paired Bluetooth device’s ability to wake from sleep.
I’m usually suspended in a non-steam game. Haven’t tested other scenarios.
Here’s a Steam forums thread on it, and another where support suggested someone e rollback the OS.
